Ronald J. Hunt, Harry Lyons Professor and Dean of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, was installed as president of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) on March 19th at the Association's 2009 Annual Session in Phoenix, Arizona.

The construction planning for VCU's satellite dental clinic in Wise, Virginia leapt forward on February 26th when representatives from VCU and the School of Dentistry met with Wise County leaders and administrators from the University of Virginia's College at Wise (UVA-Wise).

The 2008 Faculty Development Day provided a unique opportunity for all faculty to learn where the school is on its journey from good to great. Guest speakers, and small group discussions encouraged dialogue and understanding of our priorities for 2009 which are improving patient-centered care, bolstering our research, enhancing our curriculums and maintaining a student-friendly environment.
