Dr. Perry Jones is a 1974 graduate of VCU School of Dentistry, where he is Director of Continuing Education and Faculty Development as well as Adjunct Faculty, Associate Professor in the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and General Practice Departments. He is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry and is the Director of the VCU/AGD Mastership Program. For the past seven consecutive years, he has given the Invisalign certification to each successive pre-doctoral dental student class at the VCU School of Dentistry. Orthodontics has been a key practice focus for some 30+ years. One of the first Invisalign certified GP providers; Dr. Jones has been a member of the Align Technology speaker team since 2002, presenting some 300+ certifications. He has two dozen published articles in publications such as Glidewell's Inclusive magazine, Dentistry Today, Inside Dentistry, Dental Product Shopper, Dental Economics and others. A regular contributing editor for many Invisalign publications, he is also a regular speaker at Invisalign GP Summits and International Invisalign Forums. He has several archived "Ask the Expert" (ATE) Align Webinars and is currently featured on Align's education website, with the "Clear Chronicles", an on-line blog that follows three of his Invisalign patients. His Invisalign consulting service (www.ClinCheckhelp.net) has consulted on more than 10,000 ClinChecks. His passion for orthodontics extended to establishing the American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics (AACO), where he serves as Director of Continuing Education. He is also passionate about scanning technology, 3D printing technology and guided surgical guides. He has used optical digital scanning technology since first introduced with the Cadent i-Tero system in 2006. Dr. Jones was the first beta-tester for Align's iTero scanner used with the E4D milling unit, and he has been working with the Stratasys Objet 3D printer in his private office since 2013. He is the first general dentist in the world to have 3D printing technology in a private office. Dr. Jones maintains a private dental practice with his son Ryan in the Bon Air area of Richmond.
