Lori Turner is a clinical instructor working with dental students in the Dental Auxiliary Utilization (DAU) clinical rotation. Her focus is on collaborating with faculty dentists and teaching students the fundamentals of four-handed dentistry. Lori is a Certified Dental Assistant through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) with over 18 years of clinical experience. In 2003, Lori graduated from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania with a permit in Expanded Functions Dental Assisting. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Administration with a concentration on Health Management in 2012 from the University of Phoenix.
Lori relocated to Richmond, VA and began at VCU School of Dentistry in 2006 as a dental/surgical assistant in Faculty Practice. She then transitioned to the General Practice department within the predoc clinics and began the newly restructured DAU clinical rotation in 2012. Lori is also a member of the Continuing Education Advisory Committee here at VCU SOD. Outside of dentistry, she is an avid yoga practitioner and is passionate about writing.
