Cap & Gown

Cap & gown fitting and distribution will be on Monday, March 17, from 11:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kontos Medical Sciences Building. The final dates for fitting and distribution are Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the VCU Medical Campus Bookstore 828-0336, located in the N Parking Deck at 10th and Leigh Street.

Graduation Portraits

Portraits will be taken of graduates in their caps and gowns during the Grad Finale on the MCV Campus Monday, March 17. Please come prepared to have your portrait taken at this time. If you prefer, you may have a portrait made at the Richmond Coliseum (Leigh Street Entrance) prior to the Commencement exercises on May 17 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Graduation photography is being coordinated through the alumni associations.

School of Dentistry Hooding Ceremony

The 2007 Hooding Ceremony will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, located at 403 North Third Street, Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Students are required to be at the Convention Center by 1:15 p.m. Seating for families will begin at 1:00 p.m.

VCU Commencement Exercises

Assembling and Robing

The Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Richmond Coliseum, located at 601 E. Leigh Street, Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. All students are required to attend and should plan to arrive at the Coliseum by 9:00 a.m., using the lower Leigh Street entrance (for graduates only). The plaza-level doors to the Colieum will be opened for guests at 9:00 a.m. Tickets are not required and there is no reserved seating.

Parking

Parking at the Greater Richmond Convention Center located at 3rd and Marshall Streets will be $6.00. Th eparking deck is adjacent to the Convention Center.

There is a nominal fee for parking on Saturday, May 17, 2008.
