Dr. W. Graham Gardner was born in West Berlin, Germany on an American Army base. He grew up in Martinsville, Va. He received an undergraduate degree in biology from Wake Forest University. Upon graduation, he moved to Richmond and received his dental degree from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Gardner received a graduate certificate in orthodontics from New York University, where he was a part-time faculty member. He has published two orthodontic articles and is active in various dental study clubs, including one he co-founded and two in which he has served as president. For the last few years, Dr. Gardner has been a part-time clinical faculty member at VCU and a delegate to the Virginia Dental Association. He volunteers through the Virginia Dental Society with the Missions of Mercy — the M.O.M. Project — a program to provide dental services to underserved populations throughout Virginia. He and Jennifer, his wife, are proud parents of three beautiful children, Ava, Finn and Oliver. Dr. Gardner likes white-water kayaking, rock climbing, snow skiing and wakeboarding.
