Dr. Harlan A. Schufeldt graduated from the University of Illinois in 1973. He attended Loyola University School of Dentistry, in Maywood, Ill. and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1978. In 1981, Dr. Schufeldt completed his residency and received his certificate of specialty in prosthodontics from the Veterans Administration Hospital at Hines, Ill. He also completed a residency/fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics from the Zoller Clinic at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics in 1982. Dr. Schufeldt joined the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry in 1982. He currently serves as an associate clinical professor in the Department of Orthodontics.

Dr. Schufeldt has lectured extensively on prosthodontics and oral and facial rehabilitation throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. He has published scientific research articles and papers and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Virginia Dental Association. Dr. Schufeldt has been in private practice in Richmond, Va. specializing in prosthodontics and maxillofacial prosthetics for more than 20 years.
