A four-year program in general dentistry leading to the DDS degree and
emphasizing study in three broad areas: basic sciences, clinical sciences,
and social sciences.
Specialized training beyond the DDS degree is available in the following
areas:
* Indicates programs that award a Master of Science in Dentistry degree
as well as a specialty certificate.
A program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree. The
program requires two years of liberal arts study, with a minimum of 60 semester
hours, followed by two years of study focusing on basic and dental sciences,
dental hygiene science and theory, community health and preclinic and clinical
experiences.
