About the Main Clinics

reception

The School of Dentistry Patient Reception Area was redesigned in 1995 to provide patients with a comfortable space for meeting their student health care provider. The space was redesigned with new furniture, wall coverings, and special lighting. The space overlooks the Malbon Garden.

dispensing

The Dispensing Area is located on the second floor, near the patient reception area. Students obtain their instrument kits from the Central Sterilization Area, located directly under the Dispensing Area, on the first floor of the Lyons Building. This state-of-the-art facility was built in 1993 and provides over 400 kits each day for dental and dental hygiene students.

clinic

The Undergraduate Clinics in both the Wood Building (pictured to the left) and the Lyons Building have been completely remodeled and equipped during the past several years. These clinics, located on the second floor, are designed to provide students a skill development and simulated private practice experience. The Patient Reception Area and Dispensing Area connect and serve both clinics.
